Family Tree

A+ Genealogy Research Service

Family Tree research is no longer conducted professionally due to advancing age and declining health. But I am happy to provide FREE Family Tree research advice by phone for those who need a guiding hand. The information and links below will also help you to find your ancestors. Ancestry research is fun and exciting. Like a potato chip, once you find that first ancestor, you cannot stop at just one!

Family Tree, Genealogy, or Ancestry Research: it's all the Same!

Family Tree research as is commonly known, is more formally known as research for ancestry, ancestors, and genealogy (from the Greek for study of family). Professional ancestry researchers abound, many of them are really good, some are not.

There are also excellent online services. One is FREE that we highly recommend, one is a paid online database and linking service that we also highly recommend. (See below)

Ancestry.com

The services and information provided by Ancestry.com are without equal. We highly recommend you get a membership! This is what they say about themselves - and it's true:

" With 7 billion genealogical records from across the globe and millions of family trees, we are the world’s largest online family history resource.

Historical records + family trees + helpful tools + support "

We suggest you browse their website and see how your own genealogy research can be improved.

FamilySearch.org

This website, with free search and link to ancestors is amazing. And everything is absolutely free. Run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormons"), it is a vast collection of genealogical data where you are sure to find many of your ancestors linking back a few, to several, generations.

FamilySearch.org is the first place you want to start once you have identified the ancestor you want to start researching.
