100+ Free Genealogy Resources Shared by the NGS

Published by Genealogy-Research on

Upfront with NGS, the official blog for the National Genealogical Society, has released 120 links to free genealogy resources over the last six weeks. In this series of six posts, Diane L. Richard, editor of Upfront, shares “20 free and relatively new genealogy and family history resources” that she had collected while researching information for her past series NGS Mini Bytes.

We are thankful that Upfront has taken the time to share these gems with the genealogy community. The selections are diverse and otherwise hard to find, making for some really interesting lists. They include news pieces, research and history guides, searchable databases, small archives and more expansive collections on many topics– as well as some general sites that may be helpful to genealogists.
